STUCK

You know the sensation when you take a pill and it feels as if it is lodged somewhere between your throat and your stomach? You know how it feels when your words get stuck in that unspoken, limbo place? Read more and come on back to post your thoughts.

T.W.I.S.T.

I grew up not far from Gary, Indiana, the steel capital of the mid-west. The strength of the steel is carefully measured. It is twisted, stretched, and crushed to discover what kind of stress it can withstand before it is used to build cars, bridges, freighters, jets, or skyscrapers.
How are you being tested and measured? The Way I See Things, when we are twisted, stretched, and pressured it is to strengthen us. It is to prevent us from collapsing. It is to build a thing of beauty and enduring significance

What Would You Take?

Refugees in Georgia are being forced from their homes with just minutes to gather belongings. They don't know if they will ever return. In this week's Mothering MOMent we are exploring the question, "What would you take?" Please read it and post your answer.

In my backpack would be the photo of all of us at my parents 60th anniversary, my bible, my journal, a small rock that says "Listen - and be led" and my favorite very small, white heart shaped rock. (I LOVE rocks and collect heart shaped ones from wherever I go) This little white one sits on my desk to remind me to stay at the center of God's heart, to listen with my heart, and to coach from my heart. It was given to me by my oldest grandson, Jack. Amen.

T.W.I.S.T

????
What would you do with 547,600? Are you thinking of all the things you could buy, bills you could pay, places you could go? I'm not talking about money. I'm talking about the way you would spend all the minutes in a year.
The Way I See Things, and I am including myself here, we spend our precious minutes on things that don't matter in the long run. We get bogged down in the busyness and detail. What really matters moves to the end of the line. We miss this moment and this day, because we are busy planning and moving on to the next. Stop, relax, find the joy and Enjoy!
